Andrea's Thoughts on Howard College

Why Howard College?
I selected Howard College because I received my GED at the testing center and through that experience I became familiar with the staff. The staff and faculty are what did it for me. Not only did they make me feel welcome but they gave me motivation to want to do better. Howard is a place that I will always be able to share with others due to all the opportunities and resources that are available. If I could do it again I would choose Howard College.

Why Criminal Justice?
I love to help others and be of service.

Career Goals
To work with my associates for a year. Take some classes online, then go to a university to get my Bachelors.

Favorite Professor
There are quite a few … however the ones that really made a great impact on me were Mr. Jenkins , Mrs. Rodriguez and Mrs. Truitt.

My Clubs / Organizations

  • Student Government Association - President Fall 2015

Best Studying Advice
Do not procrastinate just because you think you know the information!!!!!! Why settle for a B when you could make an A!

Most Valuable Learning Experience
I have learned through Howard that you do not have to be a genius to attend college. In life, I can do all things through Jesus Christ who gives me strength … never give up!!!

What I like most about Howard College

What I tell future Howard College students
Get involved in anything and everything and always ask questions no matter how silly you think they sound. Remember we are all still growing including the professors. There is not one person that we do not come in contact with that we cannot take something from and use it.
